The Sapphire Takara (宝) Small Box (小バラ/Ko-bara) is centered on agarwood (aloeswood), delivering the deep, noble character of this classic oriental wood.

Formulated with natural deodorizing ingredients, it actively neutralizes household odors while burning. This feature was first introduced to the Takara series in 1987, making it among the earliest incense products designed with this dual function. It is also a charcoal-based low-smoke type, uncommon for agarwood-based incenses.

About the Takara Series

The Takara (宝, "Treasure") series is Kunjudo's founding product line, launched in 1975 as the world's first low-smoke incense. It was developed in direct response to customer requests for an incense that was less smoky and less pungent than what was available at the time. Over the following decades, the series expanded with new variants, each introducing a new material or functional innovation. Sapphire Takara sits within this lineup as the agarwood entry, the only variant in the series built around a wood-based fragrance rather than floral notes.
