About Kyara in Nippon Kodo

Kyara is a high-quality incense produced by Nippon Kodo. "Kyara" refers to the most refined and highest quality of aloeswood (also known as agarwood), a fragrant wood that has been treasured since ancient times and is considered more valuable than gold. 

This incense is made using this prized kyara, which is harvested in a limited area of Southeast Asia, primarily Vietnam. The wood itself is initially light, white, and odorless, but over a long period, natural processes and the wood's unique properties create the rich, elegant aroma.
