Baieido 梅栄堂
Baieido 梅栄堂
For over 360 years, Baieido has been a master of fragrance, crafting some of Japan's most revered traditional incense. Established in 1657 in the historic incense-making city of Sakai, Osaka. Baieido continues to honor its legacy as a "Jinko-ya" or maker of medicinal incense.
Their creations are born from centuries-old secret formulas and a deep respect for natural raw materials. At the heart of their collection is the famed Kobunboku line, a masterful blend of Sandalwood, Borneol (Ryunou), and traditional herbs that embodies the spirit of the plum blossom, a symbol of peace and purity.
Notes & Highlights
Notes & Highlights
Byakudan Kobunboku offers a pure and focused scent of one of the world's most cherished aromatic woods. This blend places premium Mysore Sandalwood at the forefront, allowing its creamy, sweet, and exceptionally smooth fragrance to define the experience. While it retains the signature Kobunboku elements of Borneol (Ryunou) and other supporting traditional herbs, they are used with a lighter touch, serving only to enhance the Sandalwood's natural richness and complexity.
About Byakudan Series:
"Byakudan" (白檀) being the Japanese word for Sandalwood, this incense is Baieido's tribute to this sacred material within their most iconic fragrance line. It maintains the spirit of Kobunboku, evoking an atmosphere of peace and refinement, but interprets it through the serene and grounding qualities of pure Sandalwood.
⚠️ Important Safety Note: Always burn incense in a well-ventilated area, keep it away from flammable materials, children, and pets, and never leave burning incense unattended. Ensure the burner is stable and on a protected surface, and allow ash and burner to cool completely before handling.
