For over 360 years, Baieido has been a master of fragrance, crafting some of Japan's most revered traditional incense. Established in 1657 in the historic incense-making city of Sakai, Osaka. Baieido continues to honor its legacy as a "Jinko-ya" or maker of medicinal incense.

Their creations are born from centuries-old secret formulas and a deep respect for natural raw materials. At the heart of their collection is the famed Kobunboku line, a masterful blend of Sandalwood, Borneol (Ryunou), and traditional herbs that embodies the spirit of the plum blossom, a symbol of peace and purity.

This incense embodies two key Japanese concepts: "Bikou" (微香), a subtle fragrance, and "Kemuri Hikaeme" (煙ひかえめ), or restrained smoke. It is Baieido's thoughtful answer for those in smaller apartments, offices, or for anyone sensitive to strong scents and smoke. This allows you to enjoy the profound, centuries-old heritage of the Kobunboku blend in its most gentle and discreet form.
