A formula headed “汉建宁宫中香” survives in the Vol. 2 of Song-dynasty Chen Shi Xiang Pu (《陈氏香谱》, China National Library - Pg. 21) by Chen Jing (陈敬) and was later included in Volume 14, “Blended Incense Formulas” (法和众妙香), of Zhou Jiazhou’s Ming-dynasty Xiang Cheng (《香乘》, China National Library - Pg. 32).

The historical text describes a more complex powdered blend joined with refined honey, aged for over a month and formed into pellets for burning. This Palance Amber is a contemporary stick-incense interpretation using the ingredients listed above; it is not presented as an exact reconstruction of that historical formula.

⚠️ Important Safety Note: Always burn incense in a well-ventilated area, keep it away from flammable materials, children, and pets, and never leave burning incense unattended.
